Carrie Goodchild

I am a self-taught artist from Newport, Shropshire with a passion for the natural world. I have previously worked in a number of animal based roles until I left full time work to concentrate on my love of art.

Originally I started drawing for the enjoyment which then led to taking commissions for pet portraits. I soon started experimenting with different mediums, including charcoal, pastel, oils and finally colour pencil which I have now settled on as my favourite medium. I also enjoy photography which gives me the perfect excuse to go out in the countryside and find my inspiration from the local wildlife.
