Gillian Weddle

I am a self taught animal artist, I taught myself during lockdown as I was dealing with an extremely difficult job at the time. I needed an outlet and my passion for dogs & cats and drawing at school came flooding back. After choosing colour pencils as my medium I have never looked back. I started drawing family’s and friend’s pets and shared my progress on social media. To my surprise other people contacted me asking if I could draw their pets! I am proud to say this year I am now a full time artist. This year I have attended a couple of 2 days event at the East Anglian Game and Country Fair and Heveningham Hall Country Fair where I also demonstrated my drawing. I regularly take part in a local pannier market too.
Looking forward to progressing further and enjoying my career change late in life!
