Julie Henderson

I come from a family full of artists but after briefly flirting with the idea of going to art school in my early twenties, I put down my pencils and brushes for many years, mainly because such an emphasis was put on painting, which I did not enjoy at all.

Then in August 2018 came the epiphany when I saw the work of a very talented colour pencil artist during the Open Studios week on the Isle of Arran. I bought a box of 38 prismacolor pencils and started scribbling. I was hooked!

I'm from Glasgow but I've lived in Italy for the last 20 years and I take inspiration from both countries.
