I am in my 60s and autistic. I live in a village in the north-west of England with my wife & retired greyhound. I have been painting & drawing obsessively since I could first hold a pencil, along with playing & recording music it could be described as my "special interest".
Being autistic my art gravitates towards the realistic, something I have recently been trying to avoid. My inspiration these days is as likely to come from dreams & hallucinations as it is from the natural world. I use many different media but have a love of colour pencils. I prefer to use Polychromos & luminance but will also use Prismacolor occasionally. I almost always use Stonehenge paper.
