Since 2005 I been experimenting and learning to use the fantastic medium of coloured pencil after discovering the web site of the UK Coloured Pencil Society. When I saw the amazing artwork being produced with just coloured pencils I had to give it go.

I joined the UK Coloured Pencil Society in 2005 and in 2015 I achieved Gold Signature status.

In 2010 I had an exhibition of wildlife art shown at the RSPB Reserve at Newport Wetlands which was well received.

In 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 I also had work selected to appear in the National Exhibition of Wildlife Artists alongside many well know names in this field. Several of the pieces shown sold.

I have been chosen 3 times to appear in Ann Kullbergs “CP, Hidden Treasures” and have also had works shown in both USA coloured pencil magazines and our own Talking Point. I have also written articles for magazines on how to create wildlife art by observing the world around us.

I love to capture the beauty of the birds and wildlife around me and spend much of my time watching them. This enables me to create art that is realistic and true to life. This year I will be moving to Scotland to become an assistant warden at an important seabird observatory on the Mull of Kintyre. I am sure this will inspire me to create even more artwork.
