Although I enjoyed drawing as a child, this gave way to academic then career work but I came back to art as a stress buster when time allowed. I love working in detail which lends itself well to my favoured medium of coloured pencil along with graphite pencil and scraperboard.

I have no formal education in art, but have completed the Open College of Art's correspondence courses in 'Drawing' and 'Drawing in Colour' and the London College of Art's correspondence courses in 'Plants, Animals and Pet Portraits' and 'Pet Portraits'.

Over the years, as well as exhibiting locally, I have exhibited with the SAA (the Society of All Artists), the SGFA (the Society of Graphic Fine Art), in the Leisure Painter Section of the TALP Open Art Exhibition at Patchings and with the UKCPS, achieving silver signature status in 2022.
