20th Anniversary Gala Workshops
We are running a series of exciting workshops during our 20th Anniversary Gala Exhibition at Bargehouse, Oxo Tower Wharf, London which are listed below.

Pencils and paper will be available for your use. The pencils will be various ranges from our Gala Partner Derwent and paper from Hahnemuehle Papers. There will be some pencil sharpeners and plastic erasers available but please bring your own if you prefer not to share. Some artists recommend other equipment for their workshops, do check the descriptions for details.
Covid precautions - each attendee will have their own table. All tables face the same direction with spacing around. Tables, chairs and equipment will be cleaned before each session.
All fees must be paid in advance and are non-refundable except for confirmation of a positive Covid test result or request to isolate by track and trace when the attendee will be offered a full refund. Focussing on Feathers
Sunday 24th October 2021
2 hours – 2.30-4.30pm
£20 per person. Max. 10 people.
Suitable for beginners to intermediate
Ann will demonstrate and guide you step-by-step through her techniques for creating amazingly realistic feathers using coloured pencils with underpainting and embossing. As well as expert tuition you will receive a feather, a colour mixing template, an information sheet on feather structure and go home with a page of feather studies and lots of enthusiasm.
Derwent Lightfast Pencils: Taupe, Chocolate, Black, Fossil Grey, Mist and White (these will be available at the workshop)
Faber-Castell Polychromos: Black 199, Dark Sepia 175, Nougat 178, Bistre 179, Warm Grey 272, Warm Grey 270, White 101
Graphite Pencils: HB, F or H plus *9h or 10H graphite pencil
Paper - 300 gms Hot Pressed Watercolour Paper (this will be available at the workshop)
*A 0.5 Pergamano Embossing Tool
*Winsor & Newton Promarker clear blender pen
*Small LED torch
