Victoria has been a mixed media artist since the mid 1970's experimenting with all types of media and surfaces. Predominantly a wildlife artist she has also worked in all subjects during this time and continues to do so.

For Victoria the most important part of creating images is the drawing process. This is where she can learn and understand her chosen subjects. Over the last several years coloured pencils have played a large part in her work. This is mainly due to her time spent with the Anglian Wolf Society Conservation Centre as part of a team of volunteers helping to look after and the wolves all year round, and to help during weekends on educational /public activities at the centre during the summer months. She spent much of her time between duties and public visits drawing and studying the wolves. During this time she ran coloured pencil workshops at the centre to help raise funds for Balkani Wildlife Society in Bulgaria.

Victoria's personal choice of coloured pencils are waxed and water based and uses Derwent Coloursoft, Caran dache Luminance and Prismacolour, and Faber Castell Albrecht Durer which she generally uses dry.

Her work has been selected and been shown in Ann Kulbergs CP Hidden Treasures and also had an article written and published about her wolf drawings in the USA Coloured Pencil Magazine in 2012. Victoria has also written articles for the coloured pencil magazine Talking Point, as well as articles for Art Magazines in the UK.

Among her many awards for her coloured pencil work over the years she received a Commended (3rd place) in the BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year in 2013, short listed for the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year with two coloured pencil images entitled "Looking at me, Looking at you" and "The Amur Prince" (both shown in this Gallery) and a Highly Commended in Wildscape Magazine Wildlife Art of the Year.

As an artist her work has gone through many changes and development. Its Victoria's belief that the artist does not stand still, but moves forward always searching for something and pushing boundaries, but what this "something" is she will only know when it happens.
