I loved drawing when I was younger but, after a career in HR and then interior design, I didn't start doing anything arty until I stopped working at the age of 61.
My return to art began with botanical watercolours - until I discovered coloured pencils at the beginning of 2024 (and put my watercolours away!). I absolutely love working with coloured pencils and the level of detail that can be achieved. I am constantly in awe of, and inspired by, the many talented artists I follow.
Having retired to start doing creative things in my new found spare time, I now find myself taking on pet portrait commissions - and loving every minute!
I live in Hampshire, UK, with my husband. I'd love to be able to say with my husband "and dog" (but I'm still working on the dog part so until I have my own, I'll just enjoy drawing other people's!)
