Self-taught (apart from the occasional online class and a Summer School week at the Royal Drawing School in 2023), I can’t remember a time in my life when I haven’t enjoyed and practised making art in some form or another. Since retirement from Primary School teaching, I’ve been able to spend more time on landscapes, human and pet portraits and life-drawing in watercolour, graphite, pastel, colour-pencil and charcoal and have been flattered and fortunate enough to have received several commissions for all of these things. Colour pencils are only part of my repertoire but I’m keen to develop my skills further to make the most out of this gorgeous and versatile medium and create artworks of which I’m proud and am pleased to be a Member of the enthusiastic and supportive artists network that is UKCPS to help that process/progress.
