Art has always been part of my life. Shortly after graduating with a B.F.A. from Rochester Institute of Technology, I discovered using coloured pencils as a fine art medium. I like the smooth texture and fine details that can be achieved with coloured pencils.
My work is inspired by my love of nature, travel, and the beauty I find in everyday objects.
My artwork has been featured in numerous art publications and I am a contributing artist in the book Masterful Color: Vibrant Colored Pencil Paintings Layer by Layer by Arlene
Steinberg.
I am a 'CPSA' and a five-year merit 'CPX' Signature member of the Colored Pencil Society of America, an Elected Member of the American Artists Professional League and a Juried Member of the National Art League.
My award-winning work has been shown in solo gallery exhibits and I have participated in numerous national and international juried shows and group exhibitions including the Salmagundi Club’s Annual Painting, Sculpture & Graphics Exhibition; The Colored Pencil Society of America’s International Exhibition; the UK Colour Pencil Society Open Annual Exhibition; Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club Open Exhibition; AAPL Grand National Exhibit; and the Sumi-e Society of America’s Annual Juried Exhibition.
In addition to working in coloured pencils, I also enjoy East Asian brush painting and alcohol ink painting.
I currently reside with my husband on Long Island, New York.
