My first set of pencils were Crayola, (I still have them!) purchased in 2015 as a way to reduce my stress from a new Nursing position. I colored in coloring books, but wanted something more. So I turned to instructors finding quite a few , where I learned to draw botanicals in Prismacolor pencils on Fabriano HP. I retired at the end of 2020, and have been drawing since then. Learning as much as I can from everyone and loving every moment.
Favorite pencils: Faber Castell Polychromos, Caran d'ache Luminance, Pablos, and Derwent Lightfast, and most recently Derwent Drawing. Surfaces: Rising Museum Board, Pastelmat, Saunders Waterford HP paper.
