Accountant by day and artist by night. Who says you cannot have the best of both worlds?!
Art is a means for me to escape my worries. That is why I love painting nature and using bright colours. This aim is even more relevant now given the current socioeconomic instability. I am interested in exploring how nature continues on despite this.
I am inspired by the Impressionists and their ability to conjure up scenes of everyday life (minus the strife prevalent at the time). I am also drawn to the cubists use of shapes and David Hockney's Yorkshire landscapes series.
I want to impart joy and happiness to those who look at my artwork. I want to transport them to a happy place. This is the basis for my latest project - everyone in my team at work needs to submit a picture of their happy place and I will then paint it and share it with the team. The joy it has imparted is immense. It also shows that the simple things in life are often the best.
If you are interested in my artwork, or want to learn a little more about what I do, please get in contact with me via my Instagram.
