I loved art and animals as a child and through school but I followed a science path at university and kept art as an occasional hobby. I followed a career as a physiotherapist in the NHS and then trained in veterinary physiotherapy leading me to work in the competition horse and racing industry as well as with small animals in local practice. I paused my career to have my family and 10 years on decided a change of career path was needed! I have always admired coloured pencil realism and in 2019 decided to follow some Bonny Snowdon tutorials. After that I was hooked and I’ve been drawing every day since. My focus is animal art and portrait commissions where I can bring my love and anatomical knowledge of animals together with my creative side. Awards/Exhibitions |
