Great great niece of World famous artist David Dewsberry, Great great grandaughter of Artist George Henry Dewsberry, who were both employed as artists for Royal Doulton.

After taking early retirement in 2010 I decided to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming an artist. Having had no formal training I decided to just have a go and see what happened. My first attempt at a Graphite portrait turned out better than I expected and spurred me on to continue the adventure. And what an enjoyable adventure it has been, and still is.

Although I enjoyed working in Graphite initially, it was when I came across the UKCPS exhibition during a visit to the N.E.C in Birmingham that I had my Wow !! moment. I was astonished at what could be achieved with coloured pencils and felt compelled to give them a try. This resulted in my first attempt called ' Peek a Boo Bear' which was reproduced from an advertising leaflet for the Benenden Healthcare society (with their written permission to exhibit).

After winning an award with my first ever competition entry "Stanage Edge" at the Patchings International Art Festival (a special moment I will always treasure) I decided to continue to explore and specialise in coloured pencil work, varying the subjects to gain experience.

Recently I started taking on commissions. My first pet portrait "Rufus" produced tears of delight from the owner which touched my heart. Moments like that are precious and make me want to do more to spread a little happiness.
