Yvonne Parkes

An Australian living in Penrith, Cumbria since 1985, I started my journey with coloured pencils in 2003. Art was not a subject at my school in Australia but I always enjoyed doodling from childhood. I certainly learn something new each time I do a piece, either about the paper, how the pencils lay down, how they blend and so on and have finally learned to begin with a much lighter touch than I used to.

I am very much enjoying the experiences and especially enjoying being part of the UKCPS who are very supportive.
