Elizabeth Barton is a full time artist and printmaker with works in private and public collections world wide, including Mobil and the V & A Museum Prints Collection.
She uses a variety of media, but is attracted to colour pencil as an extension of her love for drawing.
Formerly a resident artist at the School Creative Centre, later the Rye Creative Centre, she is now establishing her own studio in Te Aroha, New Zealand.
She has been a member of the Society of Graphic Fine Art since 2009, having been a member in the 1990s, and is also a member of the East London Printmakers.
Her work draws upon the Romantic tradition in English art, and the French Symbolists.
