I have always enjoyed painting. I studied art up to 'A' level but then due to business and family pressures didn't have the time to pursue it until the mid '90s. My interest was quickly rekindled and I found it a tremendous stress relief.

Since then I have tried and loved many different mediums including oils, pastels and watercolours but have now firmly settled on coloured pencils. I wish I had discovered them earlier, particularly as I had a complete box of 'Berol Karisma' coloured pencils tucked up in my art room left over as part of the stock from our shop! Once the dust was removed I've never looked back!

I first discovered the UKCPS at Birmingham NEC, and upon investigation on the internet was totally amazed at the superb standard and variety of pictures produced. I have been fortunate to have my work selected to exhibit in their Annual Exhibition since 2012. The quality of many of the artists is truly staggering, I feel privileged to have my pictures hanging amongst them.

I combine my love of the landscape with my interest in photography to provide me with an endless source of material to create my pictures. I am particularly fascinated with shapes, light and textures.

Recently I have been drawing portraits.
